Draymond Green And James Wiseman Have Tested Positive For COVID-19

1 Min Read

Even as the NBA closes in on tip-off night for its latest season, one big challenge hangs overhead: COVID-19.

Despite the NBA’s measures to keep players, staff, and the community safe, the virus continues to rage on, and tonight was a reminder. According to Warriors beat writer Connor Letourneau, Draymond Green and James Wiseman have tested positive for the Coronavirus.

The team will obviously undergo several safety measures in the next few days, as they hope to contain the spread. As for the health of Green and Wiseman, no serious side effects have yet been reported, so it should spell good news for both players.

Still, it’s a warning to the NBA that this pandemic is still very much a thing to fear. With numbers surging across the country, the threat of a rapid breakout is still very high for the league.

With no fans in attendance and regular testing, however, the NBA is definitely taking a proactive approach in their handling of the situation.

No doubt, the NBA will continue to monitor the situation in the weeks and months to come. Hopefully, we won’t need a hiatus this season.
