In a segment on KD's "The ETCs" podcast, Warriors forward Draymond Green made an interesting statement on today's media.

As he explained his desire to join the analyst desk after his playing days, he laid into the current NBA media scene, accusing them of not knowing anything about the sport.

“Nowadays you can’t turn on the TV and learn about the game of basketball; and that’s because too many people have voices that don’t know shit about the game... and it’s fucking the game up.”

Of course, Draymond already has experience in covering the game. He has made some appearances behind the desk on TNT, where he was insightful and informative.

As for his criticism of the current state of media, there are many who are inclined to agree. For years now, fans have clamored for more in-depth analysis and less humor/drama. They're tired of coverage being comparable to TMZ.

And while we can't blame the media for sensationalizing juicy and dramatic stories, that material seems to be overshadowing what fans actually want to hear -- even to the point of being a detriment to the game.

So, we can probably expect to see more of Draymond behind the screen both in the next few years and after he retires from the game completely. Better get used to him now.
