The Golden State Warriors have many amazing players on their roster. While Stephen Curry is without a doubt the best player on the team, if there is someone who energizes the entire squad, it’s none other than Draymond Green.
Green has a fantastic presence on the court. Apart from being a defensive anchor for the team, he is also a leader of men. Over the last few games, the Dubs have missed him. They are 6-4 in their last 10 games and are surely missing the former DPOY.
Although the team is on a 4-game winning streak right now, they won’t mind if Green returns to the roster soon. Speaking of Draymond, he recently arrived as a special guest on JJ Redick’s podcast.
The two talked about a lot of stuff and one of those was about when renowned rapper Drake roasted Green during the 2017 NBA awards. Now after four years since the incident Green fired back at Drake. He said:
“I didn’t know that joke was coming. Honestly, thank God I knew it wasn’t that good because it would’ve totally crushed my feelings if I didn’t know it was good. But I had already accepted the fact that it wasn’t good. But the reality is, f**k Drake. Like, that’s my guy, but see on that podcast I was getting interviewed like I wasn’t the host. And I think I’m a pretty good interview. So, yeah, f**k Drake.”

The 3-time NBA champion is referring to the joke that Drake made about Dray’s podcast at the time. The popular artist flat out said that it was tough to listen. Evidently Green wasn’t aware that joke was coming his way.
Well, fast forward to 2022, Green has certainly improved in that category as he has even got an opportunity to turn into a part-time NBA analyst with Turner Sports.
He will be joining the ‘Inside The NBA’ show, where he will join the likes of Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley. It will be great to see that avatar of the 31-year-old as he doesn’t have a filter when it comes to providing honest opinions about what’s going on around the league.
