It is safe to say that the Golden State Warriors and the Memphis Grizzlies do not like each other a whole lot. Sparks flew during their heated playoff series last season, and considering some of the characters on both teams, tensions aren’t going to die down between them anytime soon.

Before the season, Ja Morant wanted the NBA to schedule a Christmas Day game between them, and the league obliged. Unfortunately, Stephen Curry was out for the contest, but we still saw plenty of fireworks, as there was a whole lot of trash-talking and taunting going on. Klay Thompson was at the heart of it as he ruthlessly taunted Dillon Brooks and the Warriors kept going at Brooks, with Draymond Green also taunting him on multiple occasions.

“Dillon Brooks tells the ref to tell Draymond Green to watch his mouth.

Draymond: “You watch it! You watch it! P***Y!” “

Draymond stuck his tongue out at Brooks later in the game, with the Warriors being on their way to a win.

“Draymond stuck his tongue out at Dillon Brooks “

Brooks was furious after the game, as he went off on the referees and Klay, calling all that happened on the court a circus. This has become one of the feistier rivalries in the NBA today, and as a neutral, you love to see it. The Warriors were also probably a bit annoyed coming into this game after all the talking the Grizzlies had been doing, with Morant saying that no team in the Western Conference worries him. After this result, he probably should start worrying a bit more about the West.

Everyone Wants Grizzlies vs. Warriors In The Playoffs

With all this bad blood and drama surrounding these teams, it is safe to say everyone wants to see them face off in the playoffs. For the neutral, it is guaranteed fireworks, while for the teams and their fans, they would be desperate to get one over the other for bragging rights.

If they do meet, we hope that injuries won’t be a factor like they were last time out, as we will be treated to a spectacle if both these teams are healthy. It is the classic case of the brash and cocky upstart taking on the veteran who has done it all, which makes this matchup even more exciting.
