Over 17 years in the NBA, LeBron James has easily cemented himself as one of the best players in the game. Among his wide-ranging areas of expertise, one of the most impressive aspects of James’ game has to be his longevity, as the Lakers superstar has been elite for nearly two decades now.

And while we know what he has been able to do at this stage of his career, the aura of greatness was there from the very beginning, as recently pointed out by former Cavs player Darius Miles.

“I say this all the time is like I’m three years in the league and when this boy walked in that gym he was way more mature than me really like way more mature than me. Just the way he carried himself, what he did like. I’m still wild straight from the hood doing ghetto hood stuff, going a spot that I’m not supposed to be in.

I’m the highest pick at the time and I do not carry myself in this league the way he came in that league and carry himself…. It’s maturity about yourself that’s why I’m just saying like I still was immature, I still might throw attention tantrums,” Miles added. “He carried himself like a professional coming straight out of high school like I said, I’m three years in the league and he’s way more mature than me.”

Not many rookies are able to come in with their heads on straight right away. For James, though, it was different He knew who he was, knew what he could do, and was light years ahead of his age.

Seriously, is anyone surprised to hear it?
