Giannis Antetokounmpo’s relationship with his brothers is well-documented and all 4 of them are known to be quite close to one another having grown up together in Greece. The Greek Freak and his brother Thansis won a championship together last season as well, delivering one to the city of Milwaukee after 50 years.

The Covid-19 pandemic has shown few signs of subsiding, with the new variant leading to many players across the NBA having to deal with entering the health and safety protocols after testing positive. During this time, the players have to isolate, meaning that their daily routine is disrupted and they have to find ways to occupy themselves while dealing with the virus.

Giannis wasn’t spared the ordeal either, with the Bucks superstar testing positive and entering protocols on December 14th. He had to spend 10 days isolating before he was able to return after testing negative twice in 24 hours on December 24th. And the Greek Freak has now given us some insight into what those days may have looked like for him.

News broke on Sunday that Thanasis had now entered the health and safety protocols himself and Giannis was asked if he had any tips for his brother to get through this tough period for the next 6 to 10 days. In typical fashion, the Greek Freak gave some practical and fun advice.

“Watch a bunch of Netflix, humidifier, barbecue chips, Oreos. Maybe read a book. Gatorade, cough drops, Tylenol. That’s the starter pack. You gotta sleep… and stay away from social media.”

Thanasis didn’t play in Milwaukee’s last game against the New Orleans Pelicans and he isn’t really a part of the regular rotation for the Bucks. While he is unlikely to be missed on the court, teams can’t have too many players available at a time when rosters have been decimated thanks to COVID-19.
