Gilbert Arenas Thinks The Warriors Released Draymond Green’s Fight Video To Lower His Salary

Gilbert Arenas thinks the Warriors released the video of Jordan Poole and Draymond Green's fight so they don't have to pay Green the money he wants.

One of the biggest stories of the 2022 offseason was the reported practice fight between Warriors guard Jordan Poole and power forward Draymond Green. Not only was there a report, but just days after the incident, an explicit video of the incident was released to the press and spread on the internet for the entire world to see. At least one ex-NBA player thinks it was an inside job.

Recently, Gilbert Arenas opened up to VLAD TV about his NBA career and the things he has seen in practice and the locker room. Of course, Arenas is no stranger to the locker room or practice drama. He was suspended in 2009 for the remainder of the season after he and teammate Javaris Crittenton got into an altercation that reportedly involved a firearm. Arenas was not shy when giving his thoughts about what he thinks went down after Green and Poole’s video was leaked.

“The Warriors are painting a picture. They have to justify why they won’t offer somebody a certain amount of money or a long-term deal. Jordan Poole is the new face coming up. Now, if the Warriors don’t re-sign Draymond, there is footage of why.”

Is Draymond Green On His Way Out Of Golden State?

The rumors have been swirling for months about Draymond Green and his future with the Golden State Warriors. Every little thing he does has been scrutinized to the fullest extent. Green recently signed with Klutch Sports and Rich Paul, prompting rumors that he wants to be in Los Angeles with LeBron James. Other teams are reportedly interested in Green should he become available as well.

The Trail Blazers have been reported as an option, as well as the Pistons, Cavaliers, and Lakers. Golden State doesn’t seem too eager to trade their veteran who helped them win 4 NBA championships in the last 8 years, creating a dynasty. They would be losing someone who understands defense better than anyone on the team and can control the flow of the offense as well. The result remains to be seen, but it will make for a very interesting summer.
