James Harden is one of the best players in the NBA, without a doubt. But there have always been a few concerns surrounding Harden's priorities, especially off the court. Harden is known to enjoy going to parties and hanging out with musicians and rappers on a regular basis. But this recent story he shared may have fans in his new home of Philadelphia a little concerned.
James Harden recently shared a story of when he was with the Rockets. He noted that rappers Lil Baby, Lil Durk, and Meek Mill asked him to come to the studio when they were in Atlanta because they were going to record music. Harden noted that he could not miss the chance, so he went and stayed up the whole night, before leaving to attend his 7:30 practice with the Houston Rockets.
“They all call me like ‘you, we about to pull up to Houston’. (Lil) Baby, (Lil) Dark, Meek (Mill), they all come to the house in Atlanta, like 2 in the morning. I gotta got to practice in the morning. They come in the studio and I’m up with them the whole time. And I go right from the studio, 7:30 AM, right to practice. I can’t miss this opportunity. They in the studio, I gotta see what these dudes about to talk about.”
Harden has been known to be a big fan of rap and has been close friends with Lil Baby for a while. In fact, prior to his trade to the 76ers, there were reports that the 76ers' owner was going to use the help of Lil Baby to attract Harden to the 76ers during the offseason.
Now that Harden has moved to Philly, he probably will have more chances like this. Meek Mill, one of the rappers Harden is friends with, is from Philadelphia. So it is far from unlikely that Meek Mill and Harden will hang out together, especially now that Harden is playing for Meek's hometown team.
