Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum is having the best season of his young career. As the leader of a Celtics team with the best record in basketball, Tatum’s rise to stardom has truly been a joy to witness, and this season has become his ultimate masterpiece.

Pretty soon, Tatum will be honored with the unveiling of his first signature shoe, which is a milestone that every NBA star looks forward to.

In the case of Tatum, however, he was forced to set the record straight after a false leak of his kicks went viral online.

“Truthfully, that’s not the real picture,” Tatum said. “I seen the not-real version come out today and the kid in me wanted to post the real picture. But I’m excited. I’m going to be wearing them very, very soon. But that’s not exactly how they look. But I’m excited. It’s been a long time coming.”

Tatum said he couldn’t show the actual picture of his sneakers, though that shouldn’t be an issue in the coming days with the formal release. The leaked images didn’t exactly do well on social media as some critics didn’t like the shoe that much. But it appears those aren’t the actual sneakers after all.

For those who haven’t seen the leak, they hit the internet earlier this week and fans were not loving the look at all.

Tatum hasn’t made any official announcement on his soon-to-be-released sneakers, but a picture of was leaked recently. Fans on social media saw a model of some shoes, which are allegedly the ones JT will release soon.

I’m no sneakerhead, but those Jordans don’t look particularly modern, nor do they look like something Tatum would wear. In reflection, it makes sense that these aren’t actually his sneakers.

Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait a while longer before we get to see what they actually look like.

Is Jayson Tatum A Top 5 Player In The NBA?

Tatum has been considered a superstar for some time now, but his rank among the best in the game has always been up for debate. This season, however, with the Celtics dominating the entire NBA, Tatum is making the case for MVP.

“If anything can get me to jump off the Warriors bandwagon it’s these Boston Celtics. I think Boston might win it all,” said Stephen A. Smith. “I’m looking at them right now, and Jayson Tatum is clearly my MVP. We’ve talked about others… In the end, Devin Booker was looking spectacular and he goes up against Boston last night and they get slaughtered. They were up 98-55 or something. Jayson Tatum is averaging 30 on like 48% shooting. Right now, the Boston Celtics should be the favorite to win it all…”

The Cs went all the way to the NBA Finals before they were bested by the Golden State Warriors. With that loss still fresh on their minds, the team has come out with a new purpose for this campaign.

All the while, Tatum has been thriving in what has easily been his best season yet.
