Competitive as he is, Jimmy Butler is a character. He does everything for his team and teammates but is also ready to go off on them if he feels it’s necessary. The veteran swingman has found his place in the world in Miami and he couldn’t be happier about it.

He’s in charge of many young players who look up to him, and while Jimmy doesn’t miss a chance to troll them, he’s the first to celebrate the good things the rest of the team does.

Max Strus is one of those players who are living a sweet moment with the Heat right now. Jimmy reflected on this situation and he didn’t hold anything back, going off on Strus and trashing him while explaining why he’s getting so many open looks lately.

In 20 minutes of play, Strus dropped 16 points against the Atlanta Hawks on Friday night. Butler was asked about this and he had a hilarious response to Strus’ sweet moment.

“He [Strus] just stinks so people leave him open. Spo is like, ‘Throw it to Max, he’s wide open,’ so I gotta throw it to him. I literally try to look him off but it’s like, you got to throw it to him, he’s wide open. You know, he got lucky, he made a couple shots tonight, I’m not impressed.”

Jimmy Buckets is not a stranger trolling his teammates. Last year he called Duncan Robinson his ‘dumbest teammate ever,‘ before trolling Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan during a Miami Heat-Chicago Bulls duel.

Butler is a really cool guy and even though some people might consider his words harsh, he’s doing everything in good spirits. The Heat are playing like a well-oiled machine, ranking 2nd in the Eastern Conference standings, trying to take down the Chicago Bulls.

The chemistry is incredible between the players and if they keep things this way, the Floridian could be on their way to another NBA Finals appearance.
