Joel Embiid Agreed With Sixers Fans After They Chanted 'KD Sucks': "Whether They're Booing Or Whether They're Cheering, I Know It's For The Right Reasons."

The Philadelphia 76ers fans had a very good night on Wednesday, as they saw their team beat the biggest rivals for the Eastern Conference this season. They faced a Nets team without Kevin Durant, James Harden, Blake Griffin, and LaMarcus Aldridge but still had to fight hard to win the match.

The fans did their team from their seats, trying to mess with the rival players, including the ones that weren't playing. Kevin Durant was the subject of chants in the final minute of the 4th quarter, with Sixers fans yelling 'KD sucks' while Joel Embiid attempted a free throw. Durant had a hilarious reaction, just wondering what he did to earn the hate from Philly fans.

After the game, Embiid was asked about this moment and he defended Sixers fans, saying that if they do players right or wrong, they do it for the right reasons so he wasn't mad about that situation.

"When you play in Philly, they're going to push you...in Philly that's played a huge role in how dominant we've been at home. You don't want to get booed.""Whether they're booing or whether they're cheering, I know it's for the right reasons."

Durant isn't the first player to get booed at the Wells Fargo Center and he certainly won't be the last. Kobe Bryant, a Philadelphia native, was constantly booed when he played the Sixers. Embiid also suffered this last year and he was quick to shut everybody's mouths after the team won a game against the Chicago Bulls.

JoJo knows what it's like to be in that position and he understands why the fans do what they do. However, those comments couldn't sit well with KD, especially seeing how he's taking comments recently. KD has charged against the media and has won big battles. More recently, he fired back at somebody who said he had more tweets than career points so messing with Durant isn't a good option.

But, Embiid isn't entertaining any beef with the 2014 NBA MVP; he's doing his job, supporting his fans and nothing else.
