Joel Embiid Mocks The All-Star Game After Being Ruled Out: “Mickey Mouse All-Star Game Ha”

2 Min Read

Joel Embiid just trolled everybody on Sunday night, when he took a page of the book from NBA trolls. The big man used one of the best memes in the NBA community to express his real feelings on missing the All-Star Game.

Embiid was one of the biggest absences of the 2021 All-Star Game in Atlanta. The Philadelphia 76ers star was ruled out due to COVID-19 contact tracing, as well as his teammate Ben Simmons. The MVP candidate and the Australian player were in contact with a person who tested positive for COVID-19, their barber, and they were ruled out of the game. They didn’t put anybody else at risk due to the league’s quarantine protocols.

After the decision was announced, the Cameroonian took to Twitter to deliver one of the best jokes you could see from a player right now. He used the ‘Mickey Mouse’ joke to describe the game, sparking a lot of reactions from fans.

In case you don’t know what he was talking about, this Mickey Mouse thing started in the bubble, when trolls started saying that whichever team won the 2020 NBA championship, would be getting a Mickey Mouse ring, for the fact that they were playing at the Walt Disney Resort and considering the path to the title was relatively ‘easier’ than under normal conditions.

JoJo didn’t miss his chance and made a really good joke, with fans going crazy after learning he really sees the comments and knows the culture of fans.

The league has put the players in quarantine when it’s about contract tracing. One supposes that’s what going to happen to Embiid and Simmons, whose Sixers return to action next Thursday against the Miami Heat.
