Luka Doncic and the Mavericks pulled off a miracle in Dallas yesterday. With less than a minute remaining, behind by several possessions, the Mavs somehow mounted an insane comeback to come back and beat the Knicks in overtime.

It was an absolutely historic performance from Luka, who had 60 points, 21 rebounds, and 10 assists on the night. For the Knicks, however, it was anything but ideal.

The collapse marked their fourth straight loss, and star forward Julius Randle wasn’t happy at all with how things ended. According to a report by Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson, Julius was heated after the L and started throwing chairs in the locker room and in the arena hallways.

The Knicks have taken their fans on a wild ride this season. After getting off to a sluggish start, New York suddenly won eight straight games and looked to be turning a corner for the first time all year. Now, they are right back where they started with a record of 18-17 on the season.

Is Julius Randle Part Of The Knicks’ Long-Term Future?

At this point, the Knicks may very well become sellers at this year’s trade deadline, and the future of every Knicks player hangs in the balance. In regards to Randle, specifically, it’s no secret that his trade value has seen a bump this season.

“They’re better now (trade value) because they have taken the ball out of his hands more, he has less pressure on him,” the executive told Deveney when analyzing Randle’s value and performance on the season. “He can worry about rebounding and shooting. He does not have to worry about everything. He’s shooting it better, so that helps, and every time a year comes off that contract, he gets more valuable–so, at the end of the year, he might be that much more worth a trade. The big thing is defense. That holds him back.”

Julius isn’t going to be first on anyone’s MVP ballot, but he’s the type of guy who can be the key piece of a championship team. The Knicks are not that right now, and nobody knows when that will change.

In the meantime, Randle has to do whatever he can to stop the bleeding and turn things around for his squad before they get even worse.
