Karl-Anthony Towns and Joel Embiid once again starred in a controversial moment that could have escalated the same way we saw in 2019 when they two fought and were ejected from a game. It's been two years after that but every time these two face each other, you know something is about to happen.

That appeared to be the case on Saturday when JoJo made a big foul to KAT as the latter drove to the basket. The Cameroonian hugged him and held him, but he was very quick to apologize to the Dominican-American player, who didn't react violently and just walked away from the play.

After the game was over, Towns was asked about that play and why he didn't go after Embiid but he wasn't interested in that. He said that he doesn't want the media a story to tell and he's only focused on winning games, nothing more.

"Nah, it's just the game man you know I'm not... I ain't here to live out a narrative people want about us. I'm here to win the game."

Things got really heated in 2019, with Embiid and KAT brawling in Philadelphia, getting suspended for their on-court fight, and the following exchange on social media.

He also talked about losing his mother, who passed away in Easter 2020. The Minnesota Timberwolves player kept it real, saying you have to try to adjust after going through a traumatic event like that. He said you have to grow up fast before his father showed up and the pair shared a hug.

"The elephant in the room is what it is. Tomorrow’s Easter. My mom died Easter. You gotta grow up real quick."

"There's my mood spike," he said after sharing a very touching moment with his dad.

The 25-year-old has had a lot of support after losing several family members due to COVID-19. He has credited Giannis Antetokounmpo for helping him bear this situation, creating a good relationship with the Milwaukee Bucks star. This is a very difficult moment for everybody and even though nobody should go through that, we all will. KAT showed his strength and how close he is with his dad after a very complicated year and you love to see it.
