Kendrick Perkins Says LeBron James Should Have 8 MVPs In His Career

In case you miss him, Kendrick Perkins is back with his hot takes. The 2008 NBA champion has become one of the most famous analysts in the NBA community in recent weeks because he always has something controversial to say, especially when it comes to LeBron James and his case as the greatest player of all time.

Perk sent some big messages to Michael Jordan and his fans since the release of ‘The Last Dance’, always explaining why LeBron, not MJ, should be considered the GOAT of basketball. Now, he’s doubled down his comments towards the King, revealing how many MVP awards he believes LeBron should have at this point in his career.

The Hoop Central asked on Twitter how many MVPs the King will win for the rest of his career, with Perkins taking a different route, claiming he should have already 8 MVPs under his belt.

“Hell he should have about 8 already in his trophy case if you ask me! Carry on….”

It would be interesting to see in which seasons Perkins believe Bron did enough to be considered the Most Valuable Player in the league over the actual winners, but he’s confident the King should have almost 10 MVP awards.

This season James is considered one candidate to receive the prize at the end of the season, but many believe the rightful winner is Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks, who had a tremendous season before the league suspended the campaign.

The general consensus is that Giannis deserves to be named MVP, but it wouldn’t be crazy if Perkins believes this would’ve been Bron’s 9th MVP award.
