Kendrick Perkins Says Pascal Siakam Era Is Over In Toronto, Asks For “Moment Of Silence” During Draft

As expected, NBA Draft night was pretty eventful. There were plenty of surprise picks, emotional moments, and controversial statements.

One of the most interesting bits came from ESPN’s Kendrick Perkins, who suggested that Pascal Siakam might be on his way out of Toronto after the franchise shocked the world and picked up Scottie Barness over Jalen Suggs.

Next on the clock were the Toronto Raptors and in a shock they selected Scottie Barnes.

The Raptors were expected to pick Jalen Suggs but instead opted for the Florida State point guard, who has the work ethic and attitude to be a valuable player at any franchise.

Perkins predicted the surprise pick will see Pasacal Siakam exit from Toronto, asking for a “moment of silence” on the ESPN broadcast.

Many fans have noted how awkward of a fit Barnes might be alongside Siakam, uttering that it really makes no sense from a strategic standpoint.

Perk obviously believes that Toronto has some other plans in the works, and it’s not all that hard to believe. With managing Kyle Lowry hitting free agency, it might be time for the team to completely start over and rebuild.

Of course, no such evidence exists yet to suggest Siakam is really on his way out. Perk was just kind of guessing.

Guess we’ll find out soon enough what happens with that team.
