Kevin Durant Explains Why He Still Argues With The Haters On Twitter

2 Min Read

Kevin Durant is one of the best basketball players on the planet and when he’s not lighting up on the basketball floor, he’s taking it to the fans on Twitter who dare speak ill about his name.

Durant has not been kind to his critics on social media, and it’s something he often gets heavily criticized for. For a guy with so much talent, fame, and fortune, why does he feel the need to constantly exchange blows with fans who decide to share their basketball opinions on Twitter?

The 2x Finals MVP actually gave us the answer himself in a response to one user…

It seems Durant finds genuine enjoyment from flaming those he feels still hold a grudge about his past, most notably his decision to join the Warriors. To this day, people still use it as an indictment against Durant’s character.

Nathaniel Friedman, Matt Kolsky, and Zito seem to think Durant’s antics are because he takes the criticism to heart. But, of course, Durant himself denied it.

In the end, KD can use his Twitter however he wants to. Like it, love it, or hate it, KD probably isn’t stopping anytime soon.

So long as he’s got Twitter, time, and a bone to pick, he’ll be exchanging blows all over social media. At least now, unlike before, he’s not hiding behind burner accounts.
