Most of the time, when Kevin Durant logs into Twitter, he goes off on people criticizing him. It could be a fan, a media member, or perhaps another athlete. The 2x NBA champion isn’t shy to express his opinion regardless of who can feel offended by it.

A couple of weeks ago after he engaged in a battle with Stephen A. Smith, Durant returned to Twitter to send a message to one of the biggest stories in the NBA this season. DeMar DeRozan is playing at the highest level this campaign, leading the Chicago Bulls to the top of the Eastern Conference alongside Zach LaVine, Nikola Vucevic and Lonzo Ball.

His displays in this campaign have earned him a lot of attention around the league. He received a lot of votes for the All-Star Game after missing it last year with the San Antonio Spurs, showing that he’s not done yet.

Everybody has great things to say about DeMar and Durant isn’t the exception. After the Bulls star became the 1st player in NBA history to score 35 or more points and shoot 50% or better in 7 straight games, everybody was in awe of his performance, including KD.

It happened. DeMar DeRozan is the first player in NBA history with 35+ points on 50% shooting in 7 straight games.

The Nets superstar took to Twitter and praised the mid-range specialist for ‘playing the game with supreme skills.’

“Thank you for setting a great example and playing the game with supreme skill DeMar DeRozan,” Durant tweeted this Thursday.

DeMar is balling this season, and the latest show came against the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday night. DeRozan had 38 points in the Bulls 125-118, breaking a record held by Wilt Chamberlain. While Chamberlain scored 35+ points while shooting for 50% or more twice in six games, DeRozan has done it for seven matches.

Just when people thought he would fail in Chicago, DeMar is playing at an incredible level, helping his Bulls become a top squad in the East while he makes history. They are a serious candidate to win it all this season, and as long as they have DeRozan, they will have a chance.
