Kevin Durant is one of the most vocal players when it comes to dealing with heckling fans. Durant was considered one of the NBA’s most hated players when he left the Thunder to join the Golden State Warriors and received a fair degree of fan backlash. Since then, Durant made it a common practice to respond to heckling fans, both online and on the court.
Kevin Durant was being heckled by a fan during the Brooklyn Nets game against the Dallas Mavericks. Not willing to take the slander, Durant turned around and told the fan to sit down and stop talking, with some harsh language. One fan had a hilarious reaction to this clip of Durant going viral, one that even KD had to step back and acknowledge.
One fan on Twitter joked that Durant using those words against a fan was very similar to the reaction his wife has every time he says that he will only have one more drink. Durant responded to the joke with a picture of someone handing a dollar, perhaps acknowledging that it was a good joke.

Durant clearly didn’t take any offense to the fan’s joke on Twitter, and perhaps even enjoyed it. But that wasn’t the case during the game. Durant’s response to the heckling fan was far from the only talking point from the game between the Brooklyn Nets and the Dallas Mavericks.
Fans reacted to the wild finish of the game, as the Mavericks came away with a narrow 2-point win over the Brooklyn Nets. The Nets had been in pretty good form coming into the game, so this was a big win for the Mavericks. The Nets will be hoping to bounce back in their next game, as they hope to climb up the Eastern Conference standings before the playoffs begin.
