LeBron James had an incredible game against his former team, the Cleveland Cavaliers. Playing against the team he won the 2016 NBA championship, James put on a spectacular showcase, getting a triple-double as he led the Lakers to victory. In one of the standout moments of the game, LeBron James put his former teammate Kevin Love on a poster with a vicious dunk.
Kevin Love took to Twitter after the game and jokingly remarked that he was furious with LeBron James, and he would not be speaking to him for at least 48 hours. Love clearly didn’t take LeBron dunking on him in a bad way and decided to poke fun at his former friend getting the better of him.
I’m not f*cking with my guy @KingJames for atleast the next 48hrs!!!! 😂😂😂

Love even jokingly confronted James during the game, putting him in a friendly headlock before giving his former teammate a hug. It is clear that the two still remain friends, and there is no animosity between the two. Even after the game, James joked that Kevin Love should have gotten out of the way of his dunk to protect himself. Love was a big part of the Cleveland team that won the 2016 NBA championship.
Winning a championship together can help two players bond in a way that most other teammates wouldn’t understand. And given the circumstances under which the Cavaliers won the NBA championship in 2016, it is completely understandable why Love and James would still be good friends after going through that experience.
Love plays the role of the veteran on a pretty young and exciting Cleveland Cavaliers squad. Love is surrounded by young players like Darius Garland and Jarrett Allen who could benefit from the experience that a former All-Star and NBA champion like Kevin Love.
