The Golden State Warriors have secured another important piece for their future following a big season where they won another NBA championship. The Dubs had many troubles entering this offseason, as several players would demand a big deal, and the Dubs couldn’t give that to anybody.

Still, it’s good to see that players like Gary Payton II and Juan Toscano-Anderson are getting paid after showing their talents with the Warriors. Meanwhile, they’re trying to keep their core secured for the future and have started to make the right moves.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Dubs have agreed to a 3-year deal with Kevon Looney, one of their most reliable players in the past couple of seasons. The big man had some remarkable performances during the 2022 playoffs, convincing his team to offer him a solid deal.

Kevon has earned the love and respect of both his teammates and fans, helping his team mainly on the defensive end of the ball while also trying to facilitate teams for the squad on offense.

This was one of the biggest question marks for the Warriors entering this offseason, but the front office has already answered it. Looney is a valuable player for Golden State, and many believe this deal is well-deserved. Golden State will try to defend their championship next season and hope to see Looney having the same performances he had this year.

After a magical season in the Bay, many players are getting paid this offseason. Looney won’t be the last that gets a big check. It’s just a matter of time.
