Kobe Bryant's 10 Rules That Helped Him Become A Legend In The NBA

Kobe Bryant is a legend of the game. No player defined the post-Michael Jordan era in the NBA like Kobe. Much like his mentor, Bryant was obsessed with winning at all costs, and because of this, he was wildly successful.

In the span of his 20-year career, Kobe was incredibly successful and made history in the NBA. Whether it be thanks to his incredible individual performances, or his teams performing at the highest level, Bryant became one of the faces of the league.

Kobe entered the league in 1996, and within his first 8 years, Bryant went to 4 NBA Finals, won 3 NBA Championships, and became a perennial All-Star. Kobe experienced incredible success early in his career, something very few all-time greats have been able to claim.

After a few years of being on a poor Lakers team, Bryant led the Lakers back to championship contention status thanks to another All-Star teammate in Pau Gasol.

Between 2008 and 2010, the Lakers went to 3 straight NBA Finals and won 2 consecutive NBA championships in 2009 and 2010. For his performances, Bryant was named the Finals MVP for both championship wins.

Kobe remained an All-Star for the remainder of his career. But age and major injuries meant that he was no longer the superstar on a championship powerhouse anymore. Regardless, Kobe showed how well he could perform regardless of his age.

This success for Kobe was not given but earned. Bryant was always striving to be the best and had a strong set of rules for himself in order to keep himself sharp and motivated through the course of his career.
