The final few months of the trade window being open are finally here with fans around the league waiting for the first trade to go through and start a chain reaction of league-changing trades all over the league.
One player expected to be on the move this winter is Kyle Kuzma. Kuzma has played his value up terrifically in what may be a free-agency season for the star. The Washington Wizards are unlikely to pay Kuzma what he’s earned with his play, with Kuz not willing to re-sign either.
As a result, Kuzma has been linked with a return to the Lakers via trade. While this is ironic, given the Lakers traded him away, Kyle is dropping hints he wants to be a Laker again. First, it was a tweet about California weather, and now it’s him wearing a purple headband in the Crypto.com arena before a game against the Lakers.

The Lakers would love to get a switchable player like Kuz to boost their frontcourt. But will they go down a path they actively tried moving off when they moved him for Russell Westbrook?
Is It Time For The Lakers To Pull The Trigger?
The Lakers are 12-16 and will be without their star Anthony Davis for the next month. They need some more good players on this roster desperately, and Kuzma is exactly that. He’d be the Lakers’ second-best player instantly.
His fit alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis was tougher due to the depth in the Lakers rotation, with players like Danny Green and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope playing on the wing alongside LeBron, relegating Kuz to come off the bench.
There is no longer any competition for spots across the 2 frontcourt positions. Kuzma would be a star in LA and have a major role, so maybe this is the perfect reunion for both team and the player.
