Lakers Fans Want Their Team To Trade Russell Westbrook For Myles Turner And Buddy Hield: “Finally We Would Have The Powerful Starting Lineup”

For several weeks, the entire NBA community believed that the Los Angeles Lakers would somehow pull off a miracle and complete a trade for Kyrie Irving by sending Russell Westbrook to the Brooklyn Nets.

In the end, it turned out to be a pipe dream for the Lakers and their fanbase. Instead of getting Kyrie Irving, the Lakers have settled with trading for Patrick Beverley. Now, Pat Bev is a solid player, but he is not at the same level as Kyrie.

Additionally, the Lakers still have to deal with Russell Westbrook as he is still part of the team’s roster. Many reports have suggested that the Lakers have now shifted their focus towards the duo of Myles Turner and Buddy Hield of the Indiana Pacers. Former NBA player Rick Fox even went as far as saying landing those two Pacers players will certainly result in the Lakers winning a ring.

If the Lakers somehow manage to pull this off, it would certainly improve their roster a lot ahead of the 2022-23 NBA season. If the Lakers complete this trade, their starting five could feature Patrick Beverly, Buddy Hield, LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Myles Turner.

Looking at this potential starting lineup got Lakers fans really excited, and they are once again having gotten their hopes up.

But if the past has taught us anything, it’s the fact that until the deal is complete, the fans shouldn’t get their hopes up until everything is official. Moreover, if the Lakers want to complete this trade, they would be required to include at least one future draft pick. Ultimately, the Lakers will be getting two solid players in exchange for Russell Westbrook.
