Despite LeBron James returning to the squad, the Los Angeles Lakers once again lost, this time to the Houston Rockets. Losing to the team with the worst record in the NBA is yet another low in a season full of them for the Lakers. And LeBron James has accepted the blame for the Lakers losing to the Rockets.

During the post-game press conference, LeBron James spoke about his performance against the Rockets. He noted that he missed a lot of shots that he is used to making throughout the course of the season. But he doesn’t consider them bad shots. LeBron ended his statement by promising to be better ahead of the next game against the Washington Wizards (1:54 onwards).

“I missed a lot of shots that I know I’m capable of making and I’ve made throughout the course of the season. So obviously a lot of threes were either short or to the right. They all felt good though, I didn’t feel like I took any bad ones, or any bad shots tonight. Just weren’t falling… Not as efficient as I have been and I don’t like that. That’s one thing about my game I take pride in. I’ll be better on Friday.”

LeBron James had 23 points last night, along with double-digit assists and rebounds, thus securing another triple-double. But he only made 9 of his 26 attempted shots, and just 1 of his 9 attempted 3-pointers. James had a poor shooting night, one that played a big role in the Lakers losing the game.

LeBron James also passed up on a layup in the closing seconds of regular time to give the ball to Carmelo Anthony in order to seal the game. While it was a tough layup, fans expected Bron to attempt it. Fans were not happy with the Lakers’ performance and will be hoping they can pick up a win against the Wizards.
