Friendly as he is with other players, LeBron James is extremely competitive on the court, always bringing his best game to the hardwood, trying to demolish whoever is in front of him. He’s not always showing that side of him, but everybody knows the King is petty and he will take any disrespect as motivation to destroy his rivals.

That’s been the case after almost 20 years in the NBA, but you could see how mad LeBron got after being disrespected when he was still in high school. The now 4x NBA champion was already making noise during his teenage years, being compared to Michael Jordan and more.

Not everybody was sold on Bron at the time, and the uncle of another great prospect at the time dared to call him out and diminish his talent.

LeBron James Destroyed Trevor Ariza After Ariza’s Uncle Talked Bad About The King

At age 18, LeBron was called ‘overhyped’ by Trevor Ariza’s uncle. He didn’t understand how Bron received all the attention when Ariza was supposedly better than him. Ahead of a match between the two teenage sensations, this uncle messed up with LBJ.

“I don’t know why LeBron James gets all the publicity. My nephew, Trevor Ariza, is better than he is.”

After that, they clashed on the court, and Trevor learned firsthand that LeBron wasn’t somebody to mess up with. The King went off and dropped 52 points at 18 years old, making a huge statement against Trevor, his uncle, and whoever doubted that he was meant to do great things on the court.

It’s been almost 20 years since that moment and people still remember that LeBron was challenged by Ariza’s uncle and really showed up. He dropped as many points as Trevor’s team, making it clear he was ready to take over the world.

James is now entering his 20th NBA season, ready to prove doubters wrong again and win his 5th NBA championship, this time with the Los Angeles Lakers.
