LeBron James does not seem to be getting old. Even after 38 years old, LeBron is yet to show any major signs of slowing down. In fact, he has been carrying the Los Angeles Lakers on his back in the 2022-23 NBA season in the absence of Anthony Davis.

James showed his class once again against the Charlotte Hornets after dropping 43 points against them. After seeing LeBron James‘ dominant performance, NBA fans are certain that age doesn’t affect the King.

Looking at James’ dominant stretch over the last 10 or 11 games, many want his name to be in the MVP debate. Unfortunately, due to the Los Angeles Lakers’ current record of 16-21, LeBron is not in the MVP race.

NBA Fan Points Out Why LeBron James Is The GOAT

Although winning the MVP award is more of an individual accomplishment, the record of any team needs to be good enough for the player to be in contention for winning the honor. As of now, James doesn’t have the backing of the Lakers having a good record.

He may be averaging 29.0 PPG, 8.2 RPG, and 6.6 APG so far this season, but he is not on the MVP ladder. While fans may let that go, an NBA fan on Reddit pointed out that James should be considered the undisputed GOAT by now. Here’s the fan’s explanation for that claim:

I love Jordan, but LeBron’s longevity and counting stats have to be more appreciated by pundits and fans alike. I don’t think we’ll ever see another basketball player with this much wear and tear on their body have this production at that age. Also if you add up his post season games he’s played like 3 extra seasons of basketball. So his body is really closer to 41 or 42 than 38.

At 38, the prime of most players is long over. Even the great Michael Jordan was no different. MJ was playing for the Washington Wizards at the time, and it was clear that his prime was over.

On the other hand, LeBron James has continued to dominate, and it doesn’t look like he has any plans to stop anytime soon. But can he win another NBA Championship in his career? That seems to be the million-dollar question.
