NBA Fans Debate: “LeBron Tying Michael Jordan At Six Rings With A Three-Peat In L.A. Would Be Something”

2 Min Read

LeBron James won his 4th NBA championship last October and he’s already looking to get the fifth in his personal record, trying to lead the Los Angeles Lakers to the promised land once again. The King was great for the team last year, creating a great duo with Anthony Davis that had no competition in the Orlando bubble, winning series after series until they finally lifted the Larry O’Brien trophy.

Now James is two trophies away from tying Michael Jordan and given the level of basketball he’s playing at right now, the possibility of him tying His Airness doesn’t seem too far at this point. James and the Lakers have big chances to win back-to-back titles and depending on his level for the next season, they could even aspire to win a three-peat, just like Jordan did with the Bulls twice.

One Lakers fan account started a debate when they claimed that LeBron winning a three-peat to tie Jordan would mean something for him, MJ and the GOAT debate.

While some fans agreed with that premise, others showed their disagreement, explaining why they feel that not even a three-peat would put Bron at the same level as Jordan now.

This debate will always bring controversy and whenever somebody makes the case for any of LeBron or Jordan, the fans of the others will bring many reasons why they are wrong and why they should believe this or that player is the GOAT. This won’t ever end and regardless of how many times people say we have to appreciate greatness, not everybody has learned that lesson.
