Steven Adams is widely considered among NBA circles to be one of the strongest players to play in the league. The screens he sets are nearly impossible to break through and very few players have ever even thought about squaring up with the New Zealander. However, he’s also a calm character, and he showed both his personality and his strength during the Grizzlies-Bulls clash on Monday night.

Tony Bradley got into a disagreement with Ja Morant as the Grizzlies took on the Bulls and he held on to Ja, who was trying his best to get away from Bradley. The situation could’ve gotten worse, but Steven Adams was one of the first players on the scene and he simply picked Bradley up and carried him away from Morant.

Obviously, NBA fans found the whole situation to be quite hilarious and the funny reactions and memes started to follow. The Bally Sports Grizzlies page tweeted out a particularly hilarious response, quoting the famous allegorical poem, ‘Footprints’.

There were a number of other reactions on Twitter as well as Reddit as fans compared Steven Adams to a bouncer at the club, among other things.

ILikeT420: “Let’s take a stroll over here mate.”

SSJeffo: “He’s definitely the strongest guy in the league imo.”

iTrySoHardd: “If Steven Adams says the fight is over, its over.”

NeuroXex: “Steven Adams carrying Bradley like he’s a young child fallen asleep in the car after a long journey.”

Mem2Chi91: “The best part is he did this with no malice in his heart. Just calming the situation like the BFG.”

NoseBlind2: “In another life Steven Adams is a bouncer.”

VicWembanyama: “A lot of people would pay for Steven Adams to hold them like that.”

harris101: “Steven Adams is so god damn strong, honestly who just picks another NBA player up and carries him off?? What a legend.”

90059BetheZip: “Convinced Steve Adams could go super saiyan if he really wanted to.”

Ctubbosaurus: “Steven Adams is such a peaceful enforcer.”

ThePharcyde: “Ja and his Aquaman bodyguard.”

One thing is for sure, Steven Adams is not a player anyone else in the league wants to mess with, as shown by Tony Bradley’s almost resigned reaction to being carried off. Adams may just be the ideal senior player for this Grizzlies side, he can make sure no one messes with the young stars on the team without causing any major trouble for anyone.
