Zion Williamson was recently cleared for basketball activities following his prolonged injury and rejoined the team after spending a lot of his rehab away from the New Orleans Pelicans. Apart from his injury woes, there were a lot of concerns around the league about Zion’s well-being. His pictures early in the season suggested that he had put on a lot of weight, something that Zion received a lot of criticism for from fans and media members alike.

Well, now that he’s nearing full health and is almost back, it seems Zion has slimmed down in an effort to once again dominate the league at the next opportunity. Williamson was an All-Star in his sophomore season in the league, he averaged 27 points and 7 rebounds. If he gets back to that, the Western Conference teams will have another thing to worry about, and it looks like he’s getting closer to optimum fitness levels.

Photos of Zion from a church service he attended have gone viral on Twitter, with many commenting about the good shape that he is in as the league awaits his return.

ThePostFade: “In good shape.”

Paccpanther: “I hope he prove y’all wrong so bad.”

youhateme: “As long as he ain’t eat 3 plates after we all good.”

Franklin Jones: “If these are recent photos, the big fella looks like he is ready to play.”

joshua: “My boy Zion is looking good. Welcome back big fella! We missed you!”

Jabaristan: “You can tell he’s been locked in the lab just by looking at his haircut.”

Drew: “Scary Hrs Z is back.”

Reverend: “Looking far less round than the last time I saw him, great to see he’s absolutely electric to watch on that court.”

Flizop: “No haircut. He was in gym, 260 now.”

Mekhi: “He looks good.”

Williamson will have to do a lot of work before he can start contributing again, Zion hasn’t seen an NBA court this season yet. Having him back for the playoffs could be a huge boost for them, and would really increase their chances of making it through the play-in tournament.
