Nikola Jokic On How The Nuggets Want To Finish The Season: "Win Them All... We Don't Want To Go To The Play-In Tournament."

ESPN's Poll Reveals Nikola Jokic Leads The MVP Race With 860 Points Followed By Joel Embiid And Giannis Antetokounmpo

Nikola Jokic has been doing absolutely everything for the Denver Nuggets this year offensively, as his co-stars, Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. have been out for a large portion of the season.

Most recently, Nikola Jokic put up 38 points, 18 rebounds, and 8 assists against the Los Angeles Lakers. This was an important game for the Denver Nuggets in terms of seeding, as they are one step closer to avoiding the play-in tournament.

After the game, Nikola Jokic even admitted that the team doesn't want to end up in the play-in tournament, adding that the goal for the remainder of the regular season is to win all their games.

I mean, win them all. It's pretty simple for us. We lost one in Minnesota, we don't want to go to the play-in tournament. Hopefully, we can win as much so we can be 6th and above.

The play-in tournament can definitely be a stressful experience for a team, as there is no ability to come back as there is in a series. There's no question that the optimal move is to try and avoid the process entirely if possible.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are right on the Denver Nuggets' heels, and Nikola Jokic is definitely right in saying that they need to win all their remaining games to ensure that they avoid the play-in tournament. The Timberwolves have a solid young squad featuring Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards, and they are hungry to make the playoffs. They will be going all-out trying to do so.

Hopefully, Nikola Jokic can continue to play at the high level he has shown all season over this last stretch before the playoffs. The Denver Nuggets need every bit of offensive firepower that he can give them, and there's no doubt that Nikola Jokic is going all-out every time that he's on the floor.
