Scottie Barnes was the No. 4 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, and he has already impressed many people with his ability. Barnes is a tough two-way power forward who has impressive athleticism and finishing ability. He has even gotten some Rookie of the Year considerations. Currently, Scottie Barnes is putting up 15.4 PPG, 7.5 RPG, and 3.5 APG.

Most recently, the Toronto Raptors faced the Miami Heat. This was Kyle Lowry’s first time coming back to Toronto, where he became an All-Star. After the game, Kyle Lowry made sure to shout out Scottie Barnes, claiming that he’s a “special talent” and that “he’s gonna be a cornerstone” for the Toronto Raptors.

He’s a special talent. He’s gonna be a cornerstone of the franchise. He fits in perfectly here – how hard he plays, how passionate he is for the game. And he’s only gonna continue to get better. I just told him to keep going, don’t stop

Kyle Lowry has seen it all: he’s been around top-tier stars like Kawhi Leonard, Jimmy Butler, and DeMar DeRozan. He knows what an extremely talented player looks like, and it’s good to see that Scottie Barnes ended up getting his endorsement. Kyle Lowry is also a Toronto Raptors legend, so his words carry a lot of weight.

Scottie Barnes has a very promising future, and he has been a key part of the Toronto Raptors being able to be a playoff-tier team this season. Some even believe that he has been the most impactful rookie of the season. Hopefully, his ascendance continues, and we’ll see how he ends up doing in the postseason.

There is no team in the Eastern Conference that will want to face the Toronto Raptors this season. They have a well-coached squad that is stout defensively, and they will definitely be a tough matchup for any contender.
