The Los Angeles Lakers were looking set for their best win of the season when the Boston Celtics visited the Crypto.com arena on the second night of a back-to back. The Lakers forced the Celtics to surrender a 20-point lead, but a fourth-quarter collapse from them sent the game to OT.

The Lakers couldn’t keep up with the Celtics in OT, with LeBron James and ANthony Davis going cold because of fatigue. LeBron’s old foe and Celtics legend Paul Pierce was watching the game and mocked the man that ended his reign of contention over the East with the Miami Heat.

Pierce doing LeBron’s infamous ‘Silencer’ on him is quite cold. This rivalry has always been a bit of a mismatch in LeBron’s favor, outside the the year the Celtics beat LeBron and sent him to Miami. Since then, LeBron definitively won this rivalry and is still playing long after Pierce has retired from the game.

Will LeBron James Respond To This?

Simply saying, it is highly unlikely LeBron would respond to Pierce doing this on his own. Unless a media member prods him on the question in a press conference, James will not speak on it. However, LeBron can end up speaking his mind in media situations, given how badly something irks him.

LeBron never engaged with Pierce making takes on his career when he was with ESPN, so there’s no reason to engage with this. He had a 33-point night as a 38-year-old player in Year 20, so his career accomplishments will speak louder than he ever can.
