With each passing game, the chances of the Los Angeles Lakers making it to the postseason are slimming. After losing at the hands of the Philadelphia 76ers, in absence of LeBron James, fans expected something good from the Lakers against the New Orleans Pelicans.

For what it’s worth, the Lakers did seem like in great touch in the first half of the season. But after the first two quarters, it was all Pelicans. The Lakers were terrible on defense, which has been a consistent issue for the team throughout the season in the absence of Anthony Davis.

Speaking of AD, he was present at the game, albeit watching the game from the sidelines. Moreover, every time Davis plays in New Orleans, he is treated with some boos and hostility from fans.

After all, Davis left the Pelicans and joined the Lakers three years ago. While AD won an NBA Championship, the Pelicans’ condition hasn’t improved that much. Additionally, it feels like not only the Pelicans fans but the announcers are still pissed at Davis for leaving.

Following the win for the Pelicans, an announcer hilariously trolled the Lakers forward when the camera was faced towards him. The announcers said:

“There is AD. That’s all folks.”

If you are wondering what the big deal is about this, well then let us take you on a trip down memory lane. Back in 2019, when Davis was on his way out of the Pelicans, he wore a T-shirt that read, ‘That’s All Folks.’

The Pelicans announcers made a pun of that reading on the T-shirt to call out Davis for leaving the team. At the end of the day, the Lakers have been underwhelming this season, and this trolling by an opposing team’s announcer perfectly defines the season that the team has been having.
