Is Giannis Antetokounmpo the best player in the league? We are sure if you have been following the NBA for the last few years, this thought must have crossed your mind at least once.

Over the last few years, Giannis has been nothing but dominant. He has won an NBA Championship, NBA Finals MVP, two NBA MVPs, and a Defensive Player of the Year award as well.

Additionally, in the last four seasons, Antetokounmpo is tied with Nikola Jokic for most wins. Looking at his resume in the last few seasons, it should be obvious that Giannis has been one of the top 3 players in the league, if not the best.

Despite these facts, former NBA star Gilbert Arenas recently made some pretty shocking comments about The Greek Freak. Agent 0 revealed that, according to him, Giannis still doesn’t understand basketball.

Richard Jefferson’s Fiery Take On Gilbert Arenas

Arenas might have already cleared the air about what he meant by his comments, but it hasn’t stopped people from calling out Arenas for his initial comments. Former NBA player Richard Jefferson did the same, and he went a little too far in berating Arenas as he directed NSFW comments toward him.

(Starts at 40:39):

“Gilbert’s being a little d**k and he might break down his three-point shot. … It’s like bro, okay we get it, but let’s talk about wins, let’s talk about impact on games, let’s talk about intensity, defense, offense. He is the best two-way player on the planet and it ain’t even close, it ain’t even close.”

Being a former NBA player, Gilbert Arenas obviously knows a lot about the game of basketball. But everyone makes mistakes, and his take about Giannis was flat-out wrong.

Now instead of accepting his mistake, he is simply trying to justify his take. In reality, it is only making him look worse and putting a target on his back to be berated by more people.
