Shannon Sharpe Says Stephen Curry Would Be A Top-10 All-Time Player With A 4th Ring And The Finals MVP: “It Would Be An Outstanding Resume And I Don’t Know How You’d Keep Him Out Of The Top 10… He’s Changed The Game.”

The Golden State Warriors are back in the NBA Finals after getting rid of the inexperienced Dallas Mavericks in the 2022 Western Conference Finals. The Dubs returned to the big series after a 3-year absence hoping to have a different outcome than the last time they played for the championship.

Now they get ready to face either the Boston Celtics or Miami Heat in the Finals, in a duel that will be a lot harder than facing the Mavericks. Still, as long as they have Stephen Curry on the court, Golden State has a chance against anybody.

Curry could make history this year and join an exclusive group if he adds another title to his resume and finally gets the long-awaited Finals MVP. In fact, Shannon Sharpe has claimed that if Curry wins his 4th championship and the FMVP, he would be a top-10 player of all time, emulating what other big names have done in the past:

“It is the missing piece from his resume,” Sharpe said. “It would be such an outstanding resume: four titles, two MVPs, two scoring titles and now a Finals MVP. I think if he gets that, I don’t know how you’d keep him out of the top 10.

“He will be one of six players to have two regular-season MVPs, four titles and a Finals MVP, joining (Michael) Jordan, LeBron (James), Magic (Johnson) and (Tim) Duncan. And we believe Jordan, LeBron, Magic and Duncan are on Mount Rushmore. He would join that group. A very, very elite group.”

Curry has been heavily criticized in recent years without no good reason. The Warriors legend is already an all-time great, but he’s not done adding accolades to his resume, meaning he could take some players out of the top 10. That’s a lot to say, and the 33-year-old could achieve that at the end of the Finals.

Steph didn’t have the best two years in 2020 and 2021, but he’s ready to reclaim the throne and take his Warriors to the top of the league again. He could confirm his status as one of the greatest 10 players of all time in the process.
