Lakers legend Shaquille O'Neal is always engaging with the fans on Instagram, asking tough and debate-inducing questions that usually prompt long discussions on his page.

On Tuesday, O'Neal was at it again, this time posing one of the most controversial questions yet: who is the best center in NBA history? The picture featured Wilt Chamberlain, Hakeem Olajuwon, Bill Russell, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and himself (Shaquille O'Neal).

Needless to say, the comment section was blazing with reactions and all kinds of different answers.

Interestingly enough, O'Neal conceded his claim to being the GOAT big man in his caption, telling his followers that "I know it ain't me..."

If you count Championships, Russell is the clear favorite with 11 total rings. If you go by the numbers, Wilt probably tops the list, considering his absurd career averages of 30 points and 22.9 rebounds per game.

Kareem, though, seems to be the favorite, as his mix of talent and personal achievement stacks up pretty high compared to other NBA greats. He's a 19x All-Star, 6x MVP, and 6x NBA Champion.

In the end, however, there will never be a true consensus for the GOAT discussion, not even when it comes to a particular position. But, hey, it doesn't mean debating about it is any less fun.
