Shaquille O’Neal Explains Why Stephen Curry Is His Favorite Player: “The More I Hate On Him, The More He Shuts Me Up”

The art of turning haters into fans is something that Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry is an expert of. Ever since coming to the league, Curry has had a mesmerizing aura around him and fans just can't seem to get enough of him.

Curry's impact on the league is unreal, be it winning championships or shattering record after record, Chef Curry can do it all. Considering Steph's personality, you will find it hard if someone says they hate him.

Moreover, someone like NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal, who is known for his goofy behavior since retiring from the league. But even Shaq couldn't hate him for long as he recently praised Curry and believes that he is the GOAT shooter.

Furthermore, about him hating Curry, it was some sort of test; we believe. O'Neal opened up about it and revealed that Steph is now his favorite player and the reason for it.

Via The Big Podcast:

The reason why Steph is my favorite player is because I have never seen anybody do it like he does. A lot of people think I am a hater or whatever, but its not that I’m a hater. It’s just that I have seen real greatness. If you not equal or above that, you get no props from me. Steph Curry, I’ve never seen it. I would actually go pay to see him. And the more I hate on him, the more he shuts me up.

Getting such praise from an NBA legend is absolutely great. You may love him or hate him, one thing is for sure that Steph has played a huge role in revolutionizing the modern-day game.

Additionally, like Shaq said, Curry likes to shut up his haters and critics. It is more evident than ever since he returned from the devastating thumb injury which rules him out for almost a whole season.

After making his comeback from injury, Curry has started to dominate like never before. He is making his case to win the third MVP of his career while leading the Warriors to a league-best record of 15-2.

We are just at the beginning of the season, yet most fans have a firm belief that Curry will carry the Warriors to another NBA Championship this season.
