Shaquille O’Neal is one of the most generous players in NBA history. Shaq earned a lot of money during the course of his legendary NBA career. And many times, he has used that money in order to help the needy. O’Neal is constantly trying to help others, especially those who are in need.

One of his most generous acts was buying laptops for a mother who was struggling financially. Shaq explained that he would go to stores to try and help people, and he found a mother at BestBuy looking for laptops for her children. She realized she didn’t have enough money and was leaving when Shaq told her that she should buy the laptops, as he would be footing the bill.

“What I’ve been doing lately is I’ll go in stores, and I’ll look for moms. So the other day, I was at Best Buy, and I see this mom and her soon. She in the layaway section. So I’m in here hustling and she trying to get some laptops so her babies can go to school. She owe like $1,100… And I heard her say ‘okay, I’m gonna bring $300 this week’ and she grabbed one of her babies and said ‘I’m gonna get the laptops in two weeks baby’. And she walked out. I said ‘I got you’. She’s like you don’t have to do that, I was like yes I do, because my mama told me to. My Motto lately has been, it could be worse. And that could be you. $1500 is nothing to me. But mom trying to help her babies go to school. I’m standing right there, do it.”

This is far from Shaq’s only philanthropic act. He also purchased PS5s and Nintendo Switches for needy children recently. On top of that, he once also gave a restaurant server $4000 just because they asked for it. Shaq has shown time and time again that he cares about the people around him.

O’Neal is a wonderful human being, who understands how important it is to give back. All of us in the world can strive to be more kind, generous, and giving as Shaq has been over the years. And if we were, the world would be a much better place.
