Skip Bayless got hacked on X earlier today by fans. They removed his profile picture and replaced his header with a different picture of him. They initially shared several crypto promotions and politically charged posts, before ‘apologizing’ to LeBron James for ‘owning him’ and claimed Bayless had a sad life.

The account then poked fun at Bayless for not making any attempt to recover his account and joked that he had been posting falsely as Bayless for hours without any attempt from Bayless to report this activity.

Lastly, he then made an egregious claim that Bayless was using his X account to speak to other women, specifically escorts, through his DMs. The hacker then accused Bayless of being lonely and needing to do some soul-searching in his life.

Whoever hacked Bayless has definitely crossed a line by making insinuations about his personal and married life. Regardless of how someone feels about Bayless and his opinions, trying to interfere with his personal life is out of order, and should not be praised by anyone.

Hopefully, Bayless can get access to his account back soon. We don’t know if Bayless has been made aware of the hacking as of yet, or if he has begun the process of trying to get his account back.

Bayless has had a difficult year in his professional career. After the departure of Shannon Sharpe, his co-host on Undisputed since 2016, Bayless and the show hired several former ESPN staffers to try and make up for the loss of Sharpe.

But the ratings continued to decline in Sharpe’s absence, as the new set of hosts and panelists failed to generate interest in the show, and Bayless didn’t have the same degree of chemistry with them that he did with Sharpe.

Ultimately, the show was canceled and Bayless left Fox Sports. He hasn’t announced any new career venture in the time since then, and many within the television industry expect that his traditional broadcast career is over.

Skip Bayless still has his podcast, where he opines about the world of sports, regularly touching on topics he is regularly known to do, such as LeBron James and the Dallas Cowboys.

But any semblance of a return to broadcast sports television, perhaps even a reunion with ESPN, is out of the question at this time. At 72 years of age, it might be time to accept that one of the most influential figures in sports media is done.
