Stephen A. Smith Changes His Mind: ‘The Los Angeles Clippers Are A Better Team Than The Los Angeles Lakers’

2 Min Read

There are a lot of great teams in the West, but perhaps none greater than the two in L.A.

Set for a collision course in the Western Conference playoffs, the Clippers and Lakers are among the NBA’s two most talented and experienced teams.

On one hand, you’ve got the Lakers who are being led by LeBron James and Anthony Davis. They have been the NBA’s best duo all season and their dominance on the court together is pretty hard to stop. Surrounding them are shooters like Danny Green and Kyle Kuzma and playmakers like Dion Waiters, Rajon Rondo.

Besides having Kawhi and Paul George, the Clippers are stocked with the NBA’s best supporting cast — Lou Williams, Patrick Beverley, Reggie Jackson, Marcus Morris, and Landry Shamet.

So who has got the upper hand? On First Take, Stephen A. Smith conceded to the Clippers…

“I was sold on the Lakers. I’m not sold anymore.”

The Lakers have performed pretty poorly in the bubble. They’ve looked lethargic, losing five of their last seven games. Needless to say, Stephen A. has lost faith in their ability to beat their L.A. rival.

It will be up to them to prove him, and any other doubters wrong.
