Christmas Day is one of the biggest days in the NBA world. There are generally some big-time matchups with plenty of star talent scheduled for that day, such as Warriors-Suns and Nets-Lakers this year. 3 out of 4 of those teams are top-tier teams currently.

A lot of players love playing on Christmas Day, due to the insane fan attention and the atmosphere during the games. However, that is not the case for Stephen Curry, who has recently claimed that he personally doesn't like playing on Christmas because he hasn't "played well" during the Christmas games in his career. He did however mention that he also likes it because of the "marquee teams" being able to play against one another.

I like it because it means its "marquee teams"... very selective about who they put in those slots. I personally don't like it because I haven't played well... I've struggled a lot on Christmas for whatever reason, so I'm trying to rectify that on Saturday.

Especially on the road, I have three kids, a special day... so you're trying to balance being present with them and doing your job, playing the game and staying focused on that... I think we've played 9 straight years on Christmas, that means you're doing something good. Kind of have to take the good with the bad.

Stephen Curry has averaged 13.1 PPG, 5.0 RPG, and 6.8 APG on December 25th during his career, so his point about struggling on the day is clearly valid. Hopefully, he will be able to have a stellar performance against the Phoenix Suns on Christmas this year to buck the trend.

The Golden State Warriors have been a stellar team this year, and Stephen Curry has been a huge part of what makes them successful. Many believe that they could win the 2021-22 NBA championship, and they certainly have the talent and the star power to do so.
