After almost 2 and a half years away, Klay Thompson made his return last night for the Golden State Warriors. The former All-Star has been out with two consecutive serious injuries and was finally given the all-clear to return last night. And the rest of his team were thrilled to have him back.

Fans were very happy seeing Klay, noting how good he looked despite not even being at full strength in his first appearance. Klay himself reacted to his debut, noting that how him taking 18 shots was actually normal, and felt like business as usual for him considering his career performances.

Stephen Curry, one of Klay’s closest teammates, had some kind words for him. After the game, Curry spoke about how important Klay Thompson has been to his career and improvement over the years. Curry noted that he would not be the shooter he is right now if it were not for Klay being around him and pushing him to work harder.

“I’m not the shooter I am if I don’t get to see Klay every single day, do what he does.”

Curry wasn’t the only one who was waiting for Klay to return. LeBron James and Kevin Durant both spoke about how Thompson’s return will be an incredible moment and a day for all NBA fans to remember. While Klay will still need some time to get back into rhythm, he looked quite good out there.

Going forward, the Warriors will be hoping that Klay Thompson can quickly recover his form. But they will not rush him, as they will want to allow him as much time as possible for him to find his rhythm. After all, Klay has been out of the NBA for quite some time and will need a run of games to rediscover his form.
