The Funny Reason Why Michael Jordan Was Jealous Of Scottie Pippen

2 Min Read

It’s no secret that Michael Jordan had a lot of help during his Championship years. Scottie Pippen, Jordan’s best teammate and most trusted “sidekick” was among the best players in the league at the time.

But make no mistake: when it came to the two of them, Jordan had Pippen beat in almost everything. Jordan was the bigger star, he was the better player, and he was the de-facto leader.

Interestingly enough, however, Pippen did have Jordan beat in a few areas — one of which apparently included the size of his “equipment.” It drove Michael mad.

“There was one other area that Pippen had Michael bested, and that was size of his equipment down below. Bulls assistant coach Johnny Bach said, “that killed Michael…you should have seen the girls Pippen had waiting for him everywhere he went.”

As the competitor MJ is, it must’ve driven him crazy to see his teammate earning more attention from the females. Unfortunately, there’s little that he could’ve done to change that.

But it’s interesting that something even so unrelated to basketball can spark such strong feelings for Jordan. Winning was clearly in his blood and he wanted to be on top of everyone in everything.

Nobody can accomplish such a dream, but Jordan came closer than most, especially when it comes to the game of basketball. 15 years later, we’re still in awe at the way he performed — and nobody has been quite able to match it.
