Trae Young Sends Message After Beating Kevin Durant And Nets: "I Just Want The Respect To Follow."

Trae Young Ties Stephen Curry For Most 45-Point Games This Season After Standout Performance Against New York Knicks

Trae Young is currently one of the best point guards in the league. He is a capable scorer and playmaker, and he can combine the two to have some insane performances. This season, Trae Young is averaging 28.3 PPG, 3.8 RPG, and 9.6 APG.

Most recently, Trae Young delivered a 36 point, 10 assist performance against Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets, winning a crucial matchup in terms of the play-in race. The Atlanta Hawks are the 8th seed as a result of tonight's win, while the Brooklyn Nets slid down to the 10th seed. After the game, Trae Young posted a message on Twitter, claiming that he just wants "the respect to follow" his performances.

The job isn't done yet though, as the Atlanta Hawks will need to keep winning in the regular season in order to preserve their seeding. However, this was definitely an important game, and Trae Young deserves praise for his performance. He has been putting up huge numbers while keeping his team afloat offensively over the course of this entire season, and this is just another example of a big-time performance by Trae Young.

The Atlanta Hawks managed to reach the Eastern Conference Finals last season, but they have clearly been unable to perform consistently at that level, resulting in their position as the 8th seed in the Eastern Conference. However, they will be a dangerous team to face if they do get to the postseason, as most of their squad has a year of playoff experience under their belt. Right after getting eliminated in last season's playoffs, Trae Young has expressed his belief that the Atlanta Hawks will be able to return to the Conference Finals at some point, and perhaps we'll see that become a reality this season if they manage to make it past the play-in tournament stage.
