Tyler Herro is the reigning Sixth Man of the Year, and he is also one of the most promising young shooting guards in the league. He is known as an elite shot creator who also has some facilitating ability. This past season, Tyler Herro averaged 20.7 PPG, 5.0 RPG, and 4.0 APG.

This upcoming season, Tyler Herro would be in the last year of his rookie deal, and he would have been a restricted free agent at the end of the season. However, it seems as though the Miami Heat wants to keep the shooting guard around long-term.

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN has recently revealed that Tyler Herro has agreed on a four-year, $130 million contract extension with the Miami Heat. It is easy to see why the franchise made the decision to extend Tyler Herro, as he is one of their best young players.

Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro — the 2022 NBA Sixth Man of the Year — has signed a four-year, $130 million contract extension, his agents Jeff Schwartz and Mike Lindeman of Excel Sports told ESPN on Sunday.

After averaging 20.7 points a season ago, Herro, 22, inked his rookie scale extension ahead of the October 18 deadline for members of the 2019 NBA draft class.

Hopefully, we see Tyler Herro continue to blossom into a top-tier player and help the Miami Heat win a championship in the future. He is clearly a talented guard with a diverse scoring package, and if he can improve even further, he will become one of the best shooting guards in the league.

The Miami Heat should be a contender during this upcoming season, and Tyler Herro will be a key player for the franchise in terms of his offensive production. Perhaps we will see him reach another level and make his first All-Star appearance in 2023.
