Tyrese Haliburton has been one of the best point guards this season, and he is currently averaging 19.5 PPG and 10.7 APG for the Indiana Pacers. There’s no doubt that Tyrese Haliburton is playing at an All-Star level, and we’ll see if he manages to make the All-Star game this year.

Despite his production and talent, it seems as though some aren’t high on him. Previously, Knicks analyst Wally Szczerbiak claimed that Tyrese Haliburton is a “wannabe All-Star,” noting that New York Knicks players Julius Randle and Jalen Brunson are more likely to make it over him. This occurred after the Knicks managed to beat the Pacers recently.

Mr. supposed wanna be fake All-Star with the big miss. The rebound by Randle, and then Randle iced the game with all the free throws. Last chance down 3 for the wannabe All-Star, let me keep it that way.

He is in his second year, he’s a very good player, he’s not going to make the All-Star game. A guy like Julius Randle or Jalen Brunson will make it over Tyrese Haliburton. Tonight we saw why.

There is no doubt that this is a very bold statement from Wally Szczerbiak, and it is clear that he is no fan of Tyrese Haliburton. Recently, we saw the Indiana Pacers point guard respond to the criticism from the analyst.

Tyrese Haliburton Claps Back At Wally Szczerbiak

Recently, Tyrese Haliburton sat down for an interview with Taylor Rooks, where he was asked about the criticism from Wally Szczerbiak. Haliburton clapped back at Szczerbiak, claiming that he doesn’t know who Szczerbiak is, and saying that the analyst was doing this for attention.

Taylor Rooks: What did you do to Wally Szczerbiak?

Tyrese Haliburton: I have no clue. I know the name Wally Szczerbiak. I couldn’t tell you where he played. I couldn’t tell you what he did as a basketball player. He had a lot to say bout me, and I was really questioning, “Who is this? Why is he talking about me like this?”

I don’t know if I ever came out, “I want to be an All-Star this year, please vote for me.” I think he was just excited about a Knicks win and that got him going. He’s just doing whatever he can to get attention and that’s just the media today.

The New York Knicks are more likely to get an All-Star this year than the Indiana Pacers due to their seeding. It is quite possible that a Knicks player will make it over him this year.

Hopefully, though, we see Tyrese Haliburton make the All-Star game this year. He’s certainly deserving of the honor, and we’ll have to wait to see what ends up happening in the future.
