The 2022-23 NBA season is yet to start, and just a while ago, the 2022 NBA Draft took place. Paolo Banchero was selected using the first overall pick by the Orlando Magic. But NBA fans are always interested in knowing what the next draft class has in store for them.
As a result, they are already focusing on which player might be drafted using the number one overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. Well, as things stand right now, most believe that French prospect Victor Wembanyama will be the number one overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.
The French basketball star has a towering height of 7'3" and has gained a lot of attention from NBA scouts over the years. He is obviously a talented player, and many have already started to compare him to the likes of Kevin Durant and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The reason is quite simple. When KD and Giannis entered the league, they were both tall but quite skinny. Wembanyama fits that description perfectly. Speaking of the comparisons, Wembanayama recently talked about his two favorite players as well.

I would hate that my game resembles only one player. I think that wouldn't be ambitious enough. But the closest, if I got to pick two, I'd say Giannis and KD. Those are my two favorite players.
He continued about having a little bit of Rudy Gobert in him, "Yeah, yeah. I wanna be the best ever in some fields."
While the comparisons have already started for him, he still has a long way to go to actually become like his two favorite players.
But both KD and Giannis have proved that it can be done. KD was someone who was expected to be great from the start of his career, but Giannis reached the superstar level with sheer hard work.
