The Golden State Warriors roared back from their loss in Game 1 of the NBA Finals by beating the Boston Celtics 107-88 in Game 2. It was a tight game heading into the second half but another typical third-quarter eruption from Golden State killed the game off in a hurry.
The Warriors won the third quarter 35-14 and it was capped off by the play of the game at the buzzer. With time winding down, Jordan Poole let it fly from just past half-court and put the exclamation point on a dominant stretch for Golden State. It nearly brought the roof down as the fans went crazy and Steph Curry looked incredibly proud of him after the shot, too!

Curry obviously loved Jordan Poole’s shot, and he was proud of him at that moment. Poole has improved so much this season, and he has become a very valuable player for the Golden State Warriors.

He has joined in on the party and Curry revealed after the game that the two practice half-court shots at every practice and shootaround. The rest of the league is going to have a problem on their hands if Poole keeps this up, but for a while recently, we didn’t see this version on the court.
Poole had been struggling a bit these last few games in the playoffs after his great start and he had a rough outing in Game 1 of the Finals, as well, as he finished with 9 points on 2-7 shooting. This game, however, was more of what we were growing accustomed to from Poole, as he scored 17 points on 5-9 shooting from beyond the arc. He did a good job supporting Steph out there, as Curry once again led the team with 29 points in the game.
The series is now tied at one game apiece as the action shifts to Boston. The Warriors probably need to win one of the next two games as coming back from a 3-1 deficit is going to be tough against this Celtics squad and they’ll need this version of Poole to show up for that.
