Damian Lillard is one of the best point guards in NBA history, notably being selected to be in the NBA 75 list. He is well-known for his 3PT shooting and Damian Lillard is currently averaging 28.0 PPG, 3.9 RPG, and 7.0 APG for the Portland Trail Blazers.

Since he has stayed with the Trail Blazers throughout his entire career, Damian Lillard holds a lot of records with the franchise. He has recently broken the all-time scoring record for the team, surpassing Clyde Drexler.

A recent video went viral on Reddit, featuring a number of NBA stars congratulating Damian Lillard for his achievement. Notable names in the video included Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry among others.

There is no doubt that many NBA players respect Damian Lillard, and it is good to see his peers congratulate him on his achievement. All that is left for Damian Lillard to do with the Trail Blazers is win a championship, and we’ll see if he is able to do that in the future.

Damian Lillard Explains How His Loyalty Is Misinterpreted

Damian Lillard has been a loyal player for the Portland Trail Blazers, and he is currently their longest-tenured player. While many people believe that his loyalty lies to the organization, Damian Lillard previously explained that his loyalty is “ultimately to myself”.

“I think people get the loyalty thing about me wrong all the time. They think I’m being so loyal to an organization and so loyal you know, a team. The loyalty is ultimately to myself, to who I am. And the person that I am is to, you know, be willing to sink with the ship. Especially when the ship has done right by me, you know what I mean? To just be true and to see things through and to continue to fight the fight. This team hasn’t won since ’77. And I want to be a part of what brings that back. … It’s an easy thing for any of those people to say because they don’t to come walk that walk. You know, they don’t have to come live the consequences of that decision. You would never see me making a decision based off of outside people, because I sit with myself first, because I’m the person that’s going have to live with that decision every day.”

It is clear that Damian Lillard is mostly focused on staying true to his values, and is loyal to the Trail Blazers because the franchise has “done right” by him. The team has done a good job of building around him this year, and perhaps they can win a championship this year.

Even if he doesn’t win a championship, Damian Lillard will forever be remembered as a legend by Portland Trail Blazers fans. Hopefully, though, he does manage to get to the Finals this year, and this might be the season we see Damian Lillard on the highest stage.
